  • The Lapdock was something Motorola first showed off to us back when the Atrix was announced, it also launched with the Droid Bionic. It was not really a great device. Not Motorola has decided to try again, this time adding a 14 inch more MacBook Pro style Lapdock 500 Pro to the line. The 500 has a much larger track pad, what appears to be a bettery keyboard and of course a larger 14 inch screen. No word on pricing yet. ~Zephaniah Washington. AGRS Editor-in-chief.

  • It’s a few days late, but I’ve been having more then a few issues with my Mac lately. I still need a few more days before I type up the review, but here are my impressions of the device so far. It’s a really good phone. Pentile display is not too bad, and even at minimum brightness you can see it in sun light. Great feel in the hands, if you live in a 4G area your speed will be super fast. I don’t love the camera, I think it’s an issue with the stock camera app, I’ve just been using Light Box and it takes wonderful shots. Also, I’ve...

  • It’s been one long wait for the phone we saw back at CES 2011, but was it for the best? I think so. Shortly after we learned that the Bionic in it’s first form would be delayed, we saw leaked images of a device code named Targa, we knew then that this would be the Bionic, and now it is. You can order your Bionic online from Verizon for $299 with new 2/yr agreement, or $590 if you forgo said agreement. Or if you’re the Amazon type, you can head over to their mobile devision and pick up the “device to rule them all” for a cool $199 with a...

  • This probably doesn’t come as a surprise for me, including myself, but from recent news we’ve heard (aka a post on Engadget), some LTE equipment is being installed at Apple Stores, by AT&T. This comes after yesterday’s BGR find — where they found a property list file that has to do with LTE devices on iOS 5.  The equipment at the AT&T store supports the 700MHz and AWS bands,  bothof which are planning to be used by AT&T — if they get T-Mobile. Engadget was also told that the Apple store(s) in question are also trying to increase the number of floor salesman by 30%, for the apparent rush the everyone...

  • Looks like Verizon is gearing up for the Droid Bionic. As Big Red has done with every other major iteration of their line of Droid branded phones, Verizon has launched a “teaser” page for the Droid Bionic. We say finally because it has been over a year since we heard the name Bionic, for a while, a few of us even thought that the phone had been scrapped. The Bionic was supposed to be a near clone of the Atrix 4G on AT&T. Several months ago we heard that the design had been scrapped, in favor a much improved design. We the first glimpse of what the possible design might...

  • So far, Apple has been having a hell of a time in the courthouse, and I might say, this is a good thing for them. However, this is bad for HTC, clearly. The ITC has ruled that 2 of the 10 patents Apple accused HTC of infringing on in Apple’s favor; in other words, HTC was found guilty. If everything plays well for Apple, we can expect particular devices manufactured by the Taiwanese company to be banned from reaching US shores. Good for Apple favoritism, bad for those who love HTC. HTC general counsel Grace Lei responded back quickly with the following statement: “HTC will vigorously fight these two remaining patents through an appeal...

  • The last thing any company wants is a recall — and Apple certainly isn’t that company. In fact, in recent memory, I can’t think of a time Apple had to recall something. Sadly, those days are somewhat over. Due to an issue the second generation iPad 2′s are experiencing, a small number of them have been recalled. The company told Reuters “Duplicate MEID codes were flashed onto an extremely small number of iPad units for the Verizon 3G network”. The Mobile Equipment Identifier allows a device to connect to the internet over a network. These numbers, self contained to each device (one code per tablet, no duplicates allowed) are sent to...

  • Looks like the rumor we reported on last week was right. The second iteration of the ever popular Droid 2 will be launching tomorrow (May 19) for online orders, and in store on May 26 for $199 on a two year contract. The phone is powered by a dual core Tegra 2 processor, 512 MB of RAM, and 8GB of onboard storage, and a 8GB SD card. The X2 also as a 4.3 Inch qHD screen, an 8MP camera, and supports HDMI mirroring. • The DROID X2 was actually supposed to land today, however we thought it might get pushed back like the Droid Charge, this was the case. According to Verizon, the Droid X2 will be launching May 26th with direct fulfillment orders starting on May 19th. This is not the most exciting phone in Verizon’s summer barrage, but it is certainly no slouch. The X2 is powered by a 1GHz Dual Core Tegra 2 processor, similar to the Motorola XOOM. We actually heard that rumor a few months ago, and I’m glad to see it fulfilled. Also in this “hummer” is a 8MP rear camera, 720p video capture, 1080p out, 8GB of...
