  • Hopefully no one bought a new iMac recently. Apple shut down it’s store this morning to bring on a new set of devices, meanwhile kicking a few off. Of course the iMac was refreshed. The old one left, and the new one came in. Gone are the old, Core i3 models, and in are the full, across the line quad-core processors and Thunderbolt connectivity slots, the 21.5″ including one, and the 27″ including two.   • So, Verizon, if you didn’t know, has the iPhone 4 on their network, and they have for a few weeks.   • Its about time that Verizon gets this phone out the door. But is it too late? For me it is, then phone has been delayed so many times, I’ve lost most of my faith and interest in the phone. While it is the first 4G LTE phone on a major carrier, its dead beautiful, and is an total elitists phone, its just not going to be sliding into my pocket any time soon. Here’s why.   • We have another unboxing of Verizon’s first LTE phone, the HTC Thunderbolt 4G. You may remember the one from a few weeks ago, but this one actually shows of the packaging that this phone will come in. It also dives into the internals a bit.   • Best Buy just announced that they will be the exclusive retail partner for the HTC Thunderbolt at launch. We had hopped that a data might be included with this statement, but sadly no. We know that the device will launch mid february, which BB confirms in their press statement. This rules out any chance that the phone will launch on the 24th, because, any logical person would rule that as the end of february. Now, exclusive does not mean that Verizon stores won’t be selling the device. It simply means you should not line up at a Radio Shack for one of these. You can walk into a Best Buy,...

    Best Buy just announced that they will be the exclusive retail partner for the HTC Thunderbolt at launch. We had hopped that a data might be included with this statement, but sadly no. We have seen plenty of their 4G promo commercials, they all follow a theme of thunder and lightning, this one is no different. Droid-Life seems to think this means we could be getting close to a press release/event, even as soon as today (nice way to counter what ever Sprint is announcing today). We still aren’t sure when VZ will make an announcement, or if they will hold an event for the device (though they should). Video after the break.
