Apple suit against Samsung in Germany wins out in favor of Apple, Galaxy Tab 10.1 sales halted in EU
Posted on August 10, 2011 | View CommentsThe war against the companies rage on, and in this week’s episode, we have Apple and Samsung and Germany. The country has decided in a hearing that, due to the design of the Tab 10.1, which is eerily similar to the iPad, all sales in the European Union will be halted for the tablet, except for the Netherlands. Samsung naturally responded to the hearing favoring against it (clearly), and will fight back at the ruling. This comes in light of Apple suing Samsung across the world for theft of intellectual property, in this case, the design of the Korean company’s 10.1 inch tablet. Apple hopes to block the sales of the tablet... -

WiFi Only Galaxy Tab at BestBuy – Delayed By Samsung!
Posted on November 23, 2010 | View CommentsI know a lot of people who were hoping that the Samsung Galaxy Tab WiFI only model would hit before the Holidays. Alas Samsung told us that we would not see the $499 device until sometime early 2011. A little while ago the Wifi only Tab hit BestBuy, only to get slapped with a delayed notice. Something interesting about this version of the Tab, is it comes in silver, also this Tab has a Super AMOLED display. That was also incorrect, all we really know is that the WiFi only tab will cost less, be in white only (at this point), and that it does NOT have ab sAMOLED screen... -
Review: Samsung Galaxy Tab – T-Mobile. [Video]
Posted on November 13, 2010 | View CommentsIt has been a long and painful wait. Back in May we heard rumors that Samsung would begin producing tablets similar to the Galaxy S lines of phones. Now after several months of chasing any little bit of news, an image, or anything related to the Tab, we finally go hands on. Hardware/Specs: The Galaxy Tab is a mix between a great eReader and a really nice media browser, where as the iPad is more of a high-end netbook replacement. So lets talk about specs. The Samsung Galaxy Tab has a 7.4×4.7 inch Corning Gorilla Glass LCD screen with a resolution of 1024×600, this is the same resolution as the... -

Super AMOLED “Next Gen” Galaxy Tab?
Posted on November 10, 2010 | View CommentsWe were hoping that the Galaxy Tab would have the same amazing Super AMOLED screens that the Galaxy S line of phones has. However when Samsung launched the tablet they stated that it would be to costly and hard to manufacture the Galaxy Tab with a Super AMOLED screen. What they did was convince us that their newly developed Super LCD technology would fill the void, and it does. However if you don’t mind waiting for a yet unknown amount of time (we would guess about five months) you can get a next gen 7-inch Galaxy Tab with AMOLED. Samsung showed off what is being called the “next generation” Galaxy... -
QUICK HIT: 10.1 Inch Galaxy Tab with new type of LCD.
Posted on November 10, 2010 | View CommentsLets get one thing straight before we start. It is not really a Galaxy Tab, it runs Android, but this is nothing more then a prototype to show of a new 1.8mm thin display. Though this does give a a glimpse of what the 10.1 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab (believed to be launched next year) will look like. The 10.1-inch panel is a 1.8-mm thick LCD prototype on display right now at the FPD International trade show in Japan. It features a 1,024 x 600 pixel panel resolution, 250nits brightness, and covers 50 percent of the NTSC color gamut. This wonderfully thin screen is no where near production ready but... -
Galaxy Tab News: Gameloft, WiFi Delayed, and Tab Demo. [Video]
Posted on November 6, 2010 | View CommentsSo it has been a while since we have heard from the Samsung Galaxy Tab, you know, that calm before the release storm. Well it looks like it couldn’t just sit quite and wait to come out. So here we go. WiFi Only Galaxy Tab Delayed!: If you were hoping to get a way clean with a nice WiFi only Samsung Galaxy Tab this Christmas, you can probably forget about it. Some Best Buy documentation confirms the rumors of delays for the WiFi only device. This is really kind of sad considering this was something we really kind of wanted this holiday season, but alas, we will have to wait...
