  • The war against the companies rage on, and in this week’s episode, we have Apple and Samsung and Germany. The country has decided in a hearing that, due to the design of the Tab 10.1, which is eerily similar to the iPad, all sales in the European Union will be halted for the tablet, except for the Netherlands. Samsung naturally responded to the hearing favoring against it (clearly), and will fight back at the ruling. This comes in light of Apple suing Samsung across the world for theft of intellectual property, in this case, the design of the Korean company’s 10.1 inch tablet. Apple hopes to block the sales of the tablet...

  • Ok, so its not actually in a little black dress, but close enough. Today at Google IO (Day 2), Google announced it’s first OEM partners for Chromebooks. A quick recap of Chrome OS. Chrome OS is a light weight OS that lives on your device, but the cloud handels everything. It is based around the very popular Chrome web browser and uses Google servers and all the web apps out there to get work done. This allows companies to make very sleek, low cost, and ultra efficient machines. The Samsung Series 5 is the perfect example of what the future has in store for us. So lets take a look, shall we?

  • “A new kind of computer.” Thats what Google is calling their new breed of notebooks. Last year Google started a beta testing program based around Chromium — now called Chrome OS — in this beta Google sent out free notebooks called CR-48′s. These notebooks were the platform for the future of ultraportable notebooks and showed what the “cloud” really can do. Today we see what all the hard work has lead to, and its truly amazing. Head past the break for more.

  • Wow! What a fantastic couple of weeks it has been. Not only have we seen Apple’s prime software Final Cut Pro get an update, but a whole bunch of suing is going on too! A plus and a minus, if you ask me. Apple, in case you didn’t know, is suing Samsung. This is not surprising: Just take a gander at any Samsung Galaxy S device and it’s pretty clear where Apple is getting their angst from. More specifically, Samsung’s Galaxy S 4G  looks to be the target (just check out the comparison below). Back at the Final Cut Pro update, this is a wild update. Not only have they...

  • Were only a few hours off from the start of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S II as well as the Tab II. The Tab II will be less of a Tab and more of a full on tablet, sporting a 10.1 inch screen at 1280×800 res and Android 3.0. We also have heard rumors of an 8MP camera with HD video recording, and a 1Ghz Dual Core processor But as is with most major Android devices, we already have “official MWC” press renders. Two more images after the break and more at Samsung Hub.

  • Android has made an incredible splash today, from the first 4G tablet to HTC phones, a new Droid for Verizon, and it all gets topped off with the biggest shock of all this year: AT&T actually getting good devices. Lets start with tablets At the top, a new Android OS! Thats right, 3.0 Honeycomb was just announced today, and how amazing it is! It is the first all tablet OS ever designed (yes, iOS for iPad is nothing different from any other iDevice, and Android on current tablets are much different), and it shines. I found a nice video showing off the basics, and the device it is shown to...

  • We all know CES 2011 starts this Thursday. But, what can we expect to come out from CES this year? No one honestly, completely knows. But, we have some pretty good ideas. 1.Motorola Tablet: A couple of weeks ago motorola announced they were going to soon be launching a tablet. Naturally, running android. It’s 10-inches and running Android Honeycomb (3.0). Expect sales from this tablet to surpass the Galaxy Tab’s sales. 2.Notion Ink Adam: Though pre-ordering has already began, the 10-inch tablet fresh out of India is going to be fully explained to the entire world. We will also learn what stores will be selling this “Wonder Tablet” in the...
