  • This probably doesn’t come as a surprise for me, including myself, but from recent news we’ve heard (aka a post on Engadget), some LTE equipment is being installed at Apple Stores, by AT&T. This comes after yesterday’s BGR find — where they found a property list file that has to do with LTE devices on iOS 5.  The equipment at the AT&T store supports the 700MHz and AWS bands,  bothof which are planning to be used by AT&T — if they get T-Mobile. Engadget was also told that the Apple store(s) in question are also trying to increase the number of floor salesman by 30%, for the apparent rush the everyone...

  • The community at Facebook didn’t seem to think that having a Facebook application made just for the iPad was necessary, or so we thought. Apparently, they have gone back on their word that the iPad was not a mobile device suited for a mobile Facebook application, and actually not only developed an iPad application, but released it unknowingly in an update somewhat recently (like two days ago). According to Techcrunch’s MG Siegler, “All of this is possible apparently thanks to a seemingly tiny update Facebook pushed yesterday to their iPhone app. Version 3.4.4 seemed like a small version that restored the “Send” button for comments and chat among a few other little...

  • So far, Apple has been having a hell of a time in the courthouse, and I might say, this is a good thing for them. However, this is bad for HTC, clearly. The ITC has ruled that 2 of the 10 patents Apple accused HTC of infringing on in Apple’s favor; in other words, HTC was found guilty. If everything plays well for Apple, we can expect particular devices manufactured by the Taiwanese company to be banned from reaching US shores. Good for Apple favoritism, bad for those who love HTC. HTC general counsel Grace Lei responded back quickly with the following statement: “HTC will vigorously fight these two remaining patents through an appeal...

  • That’s right folks, according to the editor and chief over at Mobile-Review (by the name Eldar Murtazin), Apple’s smartphone released back in 2009 may not support this years mobile OS update. His tweet read: “Just one comment. Apple iPhone 3Gs wont be upgradable to iOS 5.x. iPhone 4 will”. It is a strange tweet, in that it has two meanings: either one, he meant what we think he did, or two that he was referring to the plural form of the iPhone 3G, which would also make sense. The hardware inside the 3GS, especially for its time, is and was absolutely fantastic. As a user, I can say I am very...

  • The HTC Thunderbolt 4G aka Mecha, Incredible HD, and Droid Thunderbolt is going to be Verizon’s “first 4G phone” according to HTC. HTC and Verizon are slated to unveil and or release this phone at CES later this week, but HTC just can’t contain their own excitment. Between the sign up page and now, this banner ad that is running on Engadget, without Engadget even knowing. “Yay for controlled leaks” is right. Now it looks like this Thunderbolt 4G will have an 8MP camera, possibly a 4.3 inch screen (which may or may not be HD), 4G video chat via front facing camera of unknown resolution, and a ton of...

  • Droid-Life managed to ubtain twelve images (renders) of what we used to call the Incredible HD. We were right though that this phone would have its name changed to Thunderbolt 4G, in support of Verizon’s thunderbolt campaign for their “4G” LTE network. We should see this phone unveiled at CES next week, as for a release date, were hoping for CES (probably won’t happen but if it did, you heard it hear first). So what is this phone all about? Bassically this is the Desire HD for the US, except this time the phone is operating on 4G LTE. This means the phone is going to be faster, assuming you’re...

  • Remember the HTC Incredible HD, well that is actually (as we thought and dreaded) is going to be called the HTC Thunderbolt 4G. We likely won’t see this phone unveiled until CES, next week. HTC is adamant about being the first “4G” phone on Verizon. They are also dead serious about teasing us with the thing on a nearly hourly basis. We are kind of disappointed that they decided to call this the Thunderbolt 4G and not the Incredible HD or Incredible 4G. However HTC Thunderbolt 4G does fall in line with Verizon’s 4G advertising campaign, where we see a guy running to his mail box and getting a Verizon...

  • If you ordered a Dell Venue Pro, their is a strong chance that you will not see your device until early “2011″. It appears that Dell is having both hardware and software problems and manufacturing is not going so swell either. This is kind of sad because this phone look very promising, of all the Windows Phone 7 devices, this is the one I would pick. A rep form the Dell community forums is saying that some devices may still ship on the 18th as planned, but you may or may not need another hardware swap to fix the problems with the device. These problems include Wifi not working and...
