New Mac Mini is 2x Faster, Processor and Graphics.
Posted on July 20, 2011 | View CommentsWhile we are still wondering what Apple has decided to do with the classic white MacBook, we are going to talk a little about the new Mac Mini, as we fear it will get lost in the hype of Lion and the new MacBook Air’s. We of course, will feature the MacBook Air, just not right this second. So, what has changed with the new Mini? We could start with price, the new Mini starts at $599 and comes with a 2x performance boost both in processor and graphics ability. In addition, the Mac Mini has been updated to be on par with the other members of the Mac line... -
Apple Store is down again. Lion Time. Update
Posted on July 20, 2011 | View CommentsI personally expected OS X Lion to be available at 12:01AM today, but I was wrong. Currently the Apple online store is down, prepping for OS X Lion. But what else could be coming? Rumors have it that Lion will launch with new MacBook Air’s, possible new Mac Mini’s, and possibly a long over due refresh for the classic white MacBook? We will just have to wait and see. So get your credit cards ready Mac fans, $30 and it’s time to roar. Update: New MacBook Air announced, more on that coming soon. Currently the online store is open and I am going to be downloading OS X Lion now.... -
Mac OS X Lion – Coming tomorrow to the Mac App Store
Posted on July 19, 2011 | View CommentsYou’ve read correctly folks, the famed OS X addition Lion is coming tomorrow to the Mac App Store for the thoughtfully thought-out price of $30. The best way to see Mac OS X Lion is that of an addition. This is 10.7, not Mac OS 11. This new OS builds on top of the success of the Macintosh operating system by adding great new features such as new multi-touch gestures, Mission Control for controlling and previewing all your open applications, Launchpad, for finding and launching all the applications on your Mac, full-screen applications for easier viewing of the media in the app, Resume for opening an app right where you left off... -
Epic Win: iOS 5 Jailbroken.
Posted on June 7, 2011 | View CommentsIt seems that ever tech site has said this but, wow that was fast. Now you can enjoy custom apps, themes, and all the fun that comes with a hole in Apple wall. Well I should say, you can have it this fall. The iPhone Dev Team’s MuscleNerd has confirmed via Twitter that iOS 5 is jailbroken and that this jailbreak will work with the final release of the software. However it is a tethered jailbreak so you will have to plug your device into your computer every time it restarts until the untethered version is released. Thanks dev’s for making our live’s more interesting. Source: 9to5mac. ~Zephaniah Washington Editor-in-chief. -
Apple to announce iOS 5, iCloud, and Lion at WWDC
Posted on May 31, 2011 | View CommentsIn a totally non-Apple fashion, the multi-national company has come forward and clean today and announced three major products: iOS 5, a new version of the company’s revolutionary mobile OS, iCloud, an apparent cloud based sharing tool to either help or replace MobileMe, and the final version or a preview of their next major operating system, Mac OS X Lion. This way of announcing products is very strange for Apple, so come back on the sixth of June for more surprises, we hope! -
First Look: Samsung Series 5. Chrome OS in a little black dress.
Posted on May 11, 2011 | View CommentsOk, so its not actually in a little black dress, but close enough. Today at Google IO (Day 2), Google announced it’s first OEM partners for Chromebooks. A quick recap of Chrome OS. Chrome OS is a light weight OS that lives on your device, but the cloud handels everything. It is based around the very popular Chrome web browser and uses Google servers and all the web apps out there to get work done. This allows companies to make very sleek, low cost, and ultra efficient machines. The Samsung Series 5 is the perfect example of what the future has in store for us. So lets take a look, shall we? -
Google Announces Chromebooks. Personal, Work, and Education.
Posted on May 11, 2011 | View Comments“A new kind of computer.” Thats what Google is calling their new breed of notebooks. Last year Google started a beta testing program based around Chromium — now called Chrome OS — in this beta Google sent out free notebooks called CR-48′s. These notebooks were the platform for the future of ultraportable notebooks and showed what the “cloud” really can do. Today we see what all the hard work has lead to, and its truly amazing. Head past the break for more. -
Win/Fail: Google’s CR-48, 25 ways to destroy yours according to Google. [Video]
Posted on December 10, 2010 | View CommentsSo, maybe you have heard of the Cr-48, Google’s ChromeBook for developers and testers. It is the star of the Chrome OS pilot program, but I guess Google just does not like them, maybe its the lack of a giant Google logo. We will have our review of the Cr-48 when it arrives (were thinking Thursday). Update: As for confirmation of shipment, their is none. When you register you now see a message that basically says that if your selected Google will call or email you. This is change from the first version which said if they had one they would send it. The message also says that Google is...
