Mark your iCal. Apple wants to talk iPhone Oct. 4.
Posted on September 27, 2011 | View CommentsLadies and gentlemen, Apple would like to “talk iPhone” on October 4th. All we can really say is what they’ve all said “it’s about time.” Apple has been a bit slow with the iPhone 4S/5/What ever, lets hope this is because they are actually going to pac some game changing features into this iteration of phone(s). We of course will see iOS 5, which is certainly going to be a nice feature boost to the slightly stale iOS, but we all now what we want to see, that hardware. We will have our breakdown of all the news as it becomes available. Also if Apple provides a live stream, we... -
Apple Store is down again. Lion Time. Update
Posted on July 20, 2011 | View CommentsI personally expected OS X Lion to be available at 12:01AM today, but I was wrong. Currently the Apple online store is down, prepping for OS X Lion. But what else could be coming? Rumors have it that Lion will launch with new MacBook Air’s, possible new Mac Mini’s, and possibly a long over due refresh for the classic white MacBook? We will just have to wait and see. So get your credit cards ready Mac fans, $30 and it’s time to roar. Update: New MacBook Air announced, more on that coming soon. Currently the online store is open and I am going to be downloading OS X Lion now.... -
Official: Droid X2 online tomorrow, in stores May 26 at $199.
Posted on May 18, 2011 | View CommentsLooks like the rumor we reported on last week was right. The second iteration of the ever popular Droid 2 will be launching tomorrow (May 19) for online orders, and in store on May 26 for $199 on a two year contract. The phone is powered by a dual core Tegra 2 processor, 512 MB of RAM, and 8GB of onboard storage, and a 8GB SD card. The X2 also as a 4.3 Inch qHD screen, an 8MP camera, and supports HDMI mirroring. A note, the phone will be running on Android 2.2, but will receive an update to 2.3 soon after launch. Now I know this is not the... -
Droid Incredible 2
Posted on April 17, 2011 | View CommentsThe Droid Incredible 2 release is right around the corner. On Verizon’s website, we can see that they already have it online and ready to go. Other screenshots confirm that they are going to be unleashing the beast on April 28th, like this one. -
Finally, the T-Bolt gets a Release Date
Posted on March 15, 2011 | View CommentsIt is the light at the end of the tunnel for those waiting for the Thunderbolt, an amazing device by HTC, as Verizon has officially announced a release date. That date would be March 17th, this Thursday. Don’t believe me? Why not look at the official press release from Verizon? -
EPIC WIN: Android Activations Per Day. Domination. [Video]
Posted on February 24, 2011 | View CommentsAndroid is a powerful force, but how powerful? Well if you take a peak past the break (and have a nice techno song playing) you’ll see a Google produced video that shows the growth and domination of Android over the last two year. Its the whole world, then broken down to continents. Watch the upper-left though and you’ll see countdowns for major phones. Look what happens to the US when the Motorola Droid launched. iOS, your argument is invalid. -
Verizon Launches XOOM Home Page. With a nice little note.
Posted on February 21, 2011 | View CommentsAs we get closer and closer to the end of February we keep expecting to see the Motorola XOOM come out. Well Verizon is confirming that February 24, 2011 will be the launch date of the XOOM. They are still failing to state if the tablet will be subsidized or not, but they are managing to state something else with their nice little web page. In the lower right of the webpage we see “Adobe Flash expected Spring 2011″. Wait, what? Thats right, the worlds first Honeycomb tablet, the iPad killer, will not be capable of displaying any flash content until a Tegra 2 version is released. Now I could... -
Motorola XOOM Display Units Arrive In Store.
Posted on February 19, 2011 | View CommentsWe still have no word on that subsidization we talked about yesterday. However, it looks like we are set for the February 24th release date. We just found so images of the dummy units for the tablet arriving in Verizon stores. We expect Verizon to announce all of the details either tomorrow or Monday. Start the clock, only four days to go. Another image after the break. Getting one? Update: It also appears that the real units are in store and in stock. Here we go. -
Motorola XOOM to Launch Feb 17 at Best Buy.
Posted on January 22, 2011 | View CommentsWe have been wondering when someone would be brave enough to leak a date for the release of the Motorola XOOM. We have already seen possible pricing ($799 unknown if subsidized), though we think it is $200 over priced, back tot eh topic at hand. Engadget just had a nice little Best Buy internal document sent to them, and smack at the bottom of the bullet points is a nice date for the XOOM. February is indeed the launch month, and we can mark out calendars for the 17th. As for pricing conformation, we have none. Best Buy is set to recieve stock for the tablet on the 16 and... -
Month in Tech: ‘It Begins’ ad playing up the Verizon iPhone. [Video]
Posted on January 20, 2011 | View CommentsWe can’t ignore it any longer, the next few weeks are going to be completely crazy. So, what can we look for in the next few weeks? Coming February we have several major phone launches and possible tablet launch: First up, the Verizon iPhone 4. Coming February 10, 2011 the long awaited Apple phone will be available for purchase and pre-order pickup. However, if you’ve not pre-ordered, I would get in line more then a few hours early (day early would be best). Purchase options include, Verizon Retail, Authorized Retailers (BestBuy and others), and of course the Apple Store. Moving closer to late February, we are going to see the...
