BREAKING: Galaxy TAB Pricing on T-Mobile
Posted on October 9, 2010 | View CommentsWell well well, look what someone leaked to the general public. The T-Mobile Galaxy TAB might be $649.99 full retail or $399 on a two year, which is pretty expensive if you think about it. It must be an official document because of the disclaimer on the bottom of it, but then again there isn’t a logo so we aren’t 100% sure. -
Droid X OTA Update to Android 2.2 NOW.
Posted on September 21, 2010 | View CommentsNailed it. Looks like those rumors from way earlier today were right. According to many tips the Droid X is receiving the Over The Air update to Froyo as we speak. It may take time for your device to be pinged for the update but keep pressing that check for updates button and your eyes on that status bar. It is about time that this phone gets the update that enables it to be amazing. Included in the update to 2.2 are improvements to visual voicemail with bluetooth support, a refreshed mobile hotspot app, and a fix to prevent data connections from dropping as you move between WiFi and 3G... -
AndroidReport: Adobe gives Android AIR, Google Docs go's mobile, and the Droid X gets 2.2 on 9/22.
Posted on September 21, 2010 | View CommentsAIR: Adobe is reporting that AIR will be available for Android dev’s on October 8th. So what is Adobe Air? AIR is a software tool developed by Adobe for platform developers. It was just recently un-ban from Apple for development on the iOS platform and will soon be available for Android developers. The nice thing about AIR is that if create for example a social networking app that works out side of a browser you could port or move that app to work on anything from a PC to iPhone. This save developers both time and sanity. For a full break down of Adobe AIR head over to this fancy... -
Best Buy Selling DROID Incredible with SLCD and 2.2
Posted on September 18, 2010 | View CommentsHTC has been long plagued by AMOLED display shortages. Earlier this month we reported that HTC would be shipping SLCD Droid Incredible’s to Verizon and other retailers (Best Buy) and anyone purchasing a Droid Incredible late September and any time after that is almost guaranteed to get SLCD. Droid-Life is reporting that Best Buy already has the SLCD Droid Incredible in stock and it is already running Android 2.2 (Froyo). The SLCD (Super Liquid Crystal Display) incredible will ship and arrive to stores on a stock level basis. If you think that this is a reason not to purchase the phone than you will be missing out on a great... -
QUCIK HIT: Droid Does – Droid X Froyo.
Posted on September 14, 2010 | View CommentsFor all of you who own the rather large Droid X you will like this. As you know Verizon has been more than a little slow pursing out Android 2.2 to Droid X owners, a tipster has reported that the Droid Does site has the splash page entitled “Great News” where it go’s on to talk about Froyo to the Droid X. Theirs not much more than that, but this has to mean the Froyo is getting closer to the X, keep your phones close people. Source: Engadget. ~Zephaniah Washington Editor-in-chief. -
Possible Samsung Galaxy Tab Pricing
Posted on September 5, 2010 | View CommentsWe have been waiting for something that looks like pricing for the US version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab and now we have it. The Wall Street Journal paraphrases a Samsung executive who claims it could run between $200 and $300 depending on the all-important carrier subsidies. Yeah subsidies, that means contract (no big), hopefully we will see the latter end of that pricing. Also Vodafone is saying that the Tab is “coming soon”. We hope to see this 7-inch tablet before the holiday shopping season and maybe a nice sale around December. We also hope that carriers offer good data plans, if the rates are right and the Tab... -
Say, "Goodbye iPad, Hello Galaxy Tab"
Posted on September 3, 2010 | View CommentsThe Samsung Galaxy Tab is finally here, and by the looks of it the iPad has nothing on it. The Tab runs Android 2.2 out of the box, meaning full Flash player (yeah, don’t mention it to Steve Jobs because he doesn’t know what it is), it has a front camera for video calling, it has a back 3.0mp camera with flash, a 7″ HD LCD screen, Bluetooth 3.0, and the list goes on and on. It has been rumored that a unsubsidised Tab will cost you anywhere from 600 to 1100 Euros, so this absolutely has to go to a cellular carrier. So lets get a little deeper. The...
