iOS still leads for developer attention
Posted on April 26, 2011 | View CommentsAccording to a recent study by Appcelerator, iOS for iPhone and iPad are leading for interest regarding application development, with Android close behind iPad and Honeycomb not too far behind that. This helps us know what we can expect in the future, suchas the fact Windows Phone 7 does not have as much to call for, and neither does Blackberry (never mind webOS or Meego). However, as we all know too well, things can change. We can only wait and see. ~ Jake Root Apple Correspondent -

Tablets: Windows 7 CTL 2goPad ships at $499. [Video]
Posted on October 13, 2010 | View CommentsWant a nice, portable, and productive tablet? Yes? Well then we have the one for you. It looks like CTL is finally shipping their 10 inch Windows 7 slate called the 2goPad SL10. Compare this to some of the other tablets running Windows that we have seen over the past few months and it might just look like your new best friend. Lets run over some basic specs real quick here. The 2goPad is a 10 inch, Intel Atom N450 powered slate computer (tablet) running Windows 7 Home Premium. Storing all of your precious files and media is a (relatively) massive 250GB hard drive. That is both a plus and... -
CTL 2goPad SL10 the Windows 7 slate you've been looking for?
Posted on September 17, 2010 | View CommentsI know that a lot of us have wanted a tablet that can get some serious work done. You know, a tablet with a real OS. The CTL 2goPad SL10 (which we first spotted at Computex) features a capacitive touchscreen, an Intel Atom N450 CPU, a 250GB hard drive, and 2GB of RAM. Of course the tablet also fully supports both HTML 5 and Flash, and has a 1.3 megapixel webcam. The 2goPad SL10 is available to pre-order now at $499, and orders are expected to begin shipping on October 15th. Source: Engadget. ~Zephaniah Washington Editor-in-chief. -
Leaked Acer Dual Screen Laptop – puts Libretto to shame.
Posted on September 11, 2010 | View CommentsIncase you haven’t noticed we do not really cover laptops, this one was just to good to pass up though, and we can’t really say that it is a laptop. Acer is currently testing a rig that put’s that small little Libretto to shame. From what we can tell from the pictures is it looks to be about a 14 inch rig, with two multi-touch display’s, and a custom UI blended into Windows 7. Lets talk the UI for a second, this thing looks like you might actually have a decent time typing on this. To us it seemed like it would be a bit of pain typing on the... -
Toshiba Libretto W100 Sold Out
Posted on August 18, 2010 | View CommentsRemember the dual screen tablet called Libretto W100 from Toshiba we talked about a couple months back? Well less than 48 hours after release amazon and Toshiba are reporting that the Windows 7 tablet has completely sold out. This would be amazing especially with that $1,100 price tag, but this tablet was released as a limited run. We have no idea when there will be more of these. Update: Incase you really want to drop over a grand on this first generation tablet you can hook up with Conics. Source: Engadget ~Zephaniah Washington AGRS Editor-in-chief -
HP Slate – No You Can't Have One – BREAKING
Posted on July 22, 2010 | View CommentsWell it all seemed way to good to be true, reports are coming in the HP Slate will be and enterprise only device like the Cisco Cius. This Windows 7 tablet as unveiled by Steve Ballmer at CES in January won’t hit the consumer market as planned — speaking at the Fortune Brainstorm Tech conference, HP Personal Systems Group VP Todd Bradley said the slate will be “more customer-specific than broadly deployed,” and that it would launch the Microsoft-based tablet “for the enterprise” in the fall. This unfortunately works with what we heard yesterday, that the Slate was in “customer evaluations”, as they prepared for the “next steps” and based... -
HP Confirms – Slate Back From The Dead
Posted on July 21, 2010 | View CommentsRemember the story I story i tripped out over yesterday, thought you did. Engadget is reporting that HP officially confirmed this morning that the product is still very much in the works. We can’t so for the Microsoft Currier. HP spokes people did not say much but they did, say that they’re “in customer evaluations now and will make a determination soon on the next steps.” It all seems very vague at the moment, but we will see this tablet hit the market, hopefully sooner rather than later, along with Microsoft’s hardcore tablet push.
