  • Yesterday Apple had more then a little to talk about. With the announcement of iOS 5 shipping this fall, the demo’s of OS X Lion coming next month, and perhaps the most intriguing announcement, iCloud. For a long time Apple has failed to take advantage of cloud service, failed to show that they understand the cloud. Lets see if they get it now.

My Thoughts: Lets talk about clouds.

  • The WWDC keynote has come and gone – and boy has it left us with our jaws open. While other people on this site will be covering other parts of the keynote, I will be talking about iOS 5, and the major overhauls that entail it. From the new notification system, to the deep iCloud and Twitter integration, iOS has really started to grow up even more. Let’s get a closer look. Deeper integration with Twitter: No longer does iOS make you open the application to use the application’s features (at least for Twitter), the new integration of the said app allows the OS to make better use of Twitter, from...

  • As if the last post wasn’t getting you ready for for June 6th and talk about new Apple OS’s and feature, perhaps this will. Yesterday we saw the Apple logo going up at Moscone center, home of WWDC, and today we see total confirmation of iCloud, before Jobs can say “one more thing”. See you on the 6th and stay tuned for a possible live blog. Also, hit the source link for a full gallery of pre-WWDC images. Source: AppleInsider. ~Zephaniah Washington Editor-in-chief.

  • In a totally non-Apple fashion, the multi-national company has come forward and clean today and announced three major products: iOS 5, a new version of the company’s revolutionary mobile OS, iCloud, an apparent cloud based sharing tool to either help or replace MobileMe, and the final version or a preview of their next major operating system, Mac OS X Lion. This way of announcing products is very strange for Apple, so come back on the sixth of June for more surprises, we hope!

  • Upon the release of the iPad,  both the first and second iterations, many websites and people themselves were calling the device a giant iPod Touch. Those people had legitimate reasoning: It ran a very similar operating system to the iPhone and iPod Touch, and really didn’t have a lot more functionality. But one thing it did have was a higher resolution display and a much more complex and intense SDK, the latter which really made use of the screen real-estate the iPad had (and of course, still has). Go into the App Store, and it’s almost guaranteed that you’ll find applications for the iPad that its smartphone counterpart doesn’t have, such as a Photoshop extension...

  • There ya go, it doesn’t get any more official than that. Today at Google I/O, the Google team announced the newest version of Android, and in Quarter 4 of this year, we will be rockin’ Android 2.4 on our devices. As I said only minutes ago, Android Ice Cream will be on both tablets and phones alike, bringing your beloved devices together in technologic harmony and bliss. • At Mobile World Congress, it was the Flyer. This entire year, it was the rumored HTC Verdi. Now, we can add another tablet to the list: the HTC Puccini. Pictured above, it is a 10″ Honeycomb tablet that will run on AT&T’s network, with a 4G antenna onboard. Although it is just a rumor currently, it may be out at the end of the year. Scribe, 4G, and the amazing HTC Sense UI will all be onboard, you can bet on that. Nicolas Wiggins Android Correspondent Source:

  • What a fantastic discovery! I was watching the new iPad 2 advertisment entitled “If You Asked” and at the end, they say “If you ask us, we’d say it’s just getting started”. If you ask me, that is just the confirmation we needed to either confirm the existence of the next iPad, or a major iOS refinement, both possibly coming this summer. Video at the link below! • According to a recent study by Appcelerator, iOS for iPhone and iPad are leading for interest regarding application development, with Android close behind iPad and Honeycomb not too far behind that. This helps us know what we can expect in the future, suchas the fact Windows Phone 7 does not have as much to call for, and neither does Blackberry (never mind webOS or Meego). However, as we all know too well, things can change. We can only wait and see. ~ Jake Root Apple Correspondent
