  • At Mobile World Congress, it was the Flyer. This entire year, it was the rumored HTC Verdi. Now, we can add another tablet to the list: the HTC Puccini. Pictured above, it is a 10″ Honeycomb tablet that will run on AT&T’s network, with a 4G antenna onboard. Although it is just a rumor currently, it may be out at the end of the year. Scribe, 4G, and the amazing HTC Sense UI will all be onboard, you can bet on that. Nicolas Wiggins Android Correspondent Source:

  • According to a recent study by Appcelerator, iOS for iPhone and iPad are leading for interest regarding application development, with Android close behind iPad and Honeycomb not too far behind that. This helps us know what we can expect in the future, suchas the fact Windows Phone 7 does not have as much to call for, and neither does Blackberry (never mind webOS or Meego). However, as we all know too well, things can change. We can only wait and see. ~ Jake Root Apple Correspondent

  • Best Buy is the exclusive retailer for the nice 7″ Flyer by HTC, and they are going to start the pre-orders tomorrow for about $500. This tablet, although small, Android 2.3, and ran by a single core processor, is actually really good. HTC has added Scribe, which allows you to use a capacitive stylus and get a lot of use out of it. And don’t forget, HTC partnered with OnLive to give you on-the-go gaming, with a large selection of games from almost every console ever created. Furthermore, the device will be updated to Honeycomb in the future, no idea how HTC is going to keep Sense intact, though. Just...

  • Call me surprised. Actually don’t, you’d be a fool. A survey by ChangeWave Research has revealed that AT&T drops the most calls of any mobile network, at 4.6 calls per 100 (4.6%). Verizon unsurprisingly takes the lead in this survey with only 1.4 dropped calls per 100 (1.4%). T-Mobile is second at 2.3% and Sprint is third at 2.7%. AT&T reached out and said that a survey by GWS not so very long ago revealed a 98.6% success rate, or exactly the same as Verizon’s. Hopefully, AT&T’s upcoming LTE and current HSPA+ network’s will help that number drop more. Best of luck to you, because you will need it. ~ Jake Root Yes,...

  • Its about time. After tracking rumors that changed every hour, for weeks on end. We decided to wait for some real information regarding the Motorola XOOM, and now we have it. Motorola is confirming the XOOM WiFi only version for a March 27 release. What’s nice is, we finally know the price of the 3G-less tablet, a nice $599. Its nice to see Motorla make this cut in price, this way it might stand a chance against iPad 2… Wait, that’s already out, and I already own one. I’m glad for you Moto, that you managed to get this out the door, but you should have released it five or...

  • I know a few people have been heading out and getting that nice new XOOM. But if your waiting for pay day or still on the fence from all the rumors and uncertainty, then these facts should help. Verizon does NOT require a contract. You can choose to pay full retail ($800) and use month to month data. Best Buy is informing people that an activation is no longer required. It was rumored that contract or not you would have to pay for 1 month of data and an activation fee to use WiFi on the device. Best Buy will not however meet the price that Verizon is offering on...

  • Thank you for listening Verizon. Thank you for not making us get iPad 2. Thats right, Verizon has just announced the pricing and availability for the Motorola XOOM. We will see the Android 3.0, LTE capable tablet on February 24 with some decent pricing. We are looking at $599 on a two year contract or $799 at full retail, no contract. Were not sure if 1 month of data is still required to unlock WiFi on the $799 model but you can assume that it is. I can say that I will be standing proudly in line on Thursday handing over my cash. You? Press release after the break.
