  • While normally, the UK seems like a great place, recent riots over the shooting of 29 year-old man by police have sparked some stores to relieve their main floors of product. This is seen in some Apple stores around the nation, the above being a good example. A statement from the store is as follows: “Above: Due To The Riots In England, The Apple Store In Liverpool One have moved all stock up stairs from the show floor.” Resellers are also getting into the action. This leads us to believe that this is an Apple mandated order and that all stores around London must remove their inventory from their ground...

  • Looks like Verizon is gearing up for the Droid Bionic. As Big Red has done with every other major iteration of their line of Droid branded phones, Verizon has launched a “teaser” page for the Droid Bionic. We say finally because it has been over a year since we heard the name Bionic, for a while, a few of us even thought that the phone had been scrapped. The Bionic was supposed to be a near clone of the Atrix 4G on AT&T. Several months ago we heard that the design had been scrapped, in favor a much improved design. We the first glimpse of what the possible design might...

  • Not much is known quite yet, but one thing is: Apple’s manufactures have been slipping lately (and over the last few years), and if this is the final design for the next-gen iPhone, it certainly wouldn’t surprise us. Gizchina.com has slipped a few photos in the direction of the internet recently, and the new design matches up pretty well with what we’ve been seeing as the iPhone 5 case. While we won’t be suggesting that this is definitely the final design, it certainly does look quite a bit like final hardware. One thing I must note is that, looking at the above image, looking closely, you can almost make out...

  • The community at Facebook didn’t seem to think that having a Facebook application made just for the iPad was necessary, or so we thought. Apparently, they have gone back on their word that the iPad was not a mobile device suited for a mobile Facebook application, and actually not only developed an iPad application, but released it unknowingly in an update somewhat recently (like two days ago). According to Techcrunch’s MG Siegler, “All of this is possible apparently thanks to a seemingly tiny update Facebook pushed yesterday to their iPhone app. Version 3.4.4 seemed like a small version that restored the “Send” button for comments and chat among a few other little...

  • Confused? I know you are, but its just to fun to not to use that title. If you want this to make since, read the forum post below, its a fun read and worth it. Greetings. I am Motorola Droid Bionic # 228. You must know my story, please do not share any of this information with mainstream media, Verizon, or any Motorola employees. This is sensitive information and its spread could have dire consequences. Early in the year that was 2011, my earliest ancestor, Etna, was scrapped. The reasons don’t matter, what does matter is the device that was being created to take Etna’s place. This new device was...

  • So far, Apple has been having a hell of a time in the courthouse, and I might say, this is a good thing for them. However, this is bad for HTC, clearly. The ITC has ruled that 2 of the 10 patents Apple accused HTC of infringing on in Apple’s favor; in other words, HTC was found guilty. If everything plays well for Apple, we can expect particular devices manufactured by the Taiwanese company to be banned from reaching US shores. Good for Apple favoritism, bad for those who love HTC. HTC general counsel Grace Lei responded back quickly with the following statement: “HTC will vigorously fight these two remaining patents through an appeal...

  • …And it might not be too hard. Not too long ago, Google introduced the world to Google+ (said plus of course), a new social network clearly geared around a few key things. While Google certainly has gone into the social networking industry (think Buzz or Orkut, the latter more popular in other places besides the US), but never quite like this. The service rolled out a little pre-maturely a few nights ago, with some Google users seeing a “+You” button in the top right hand of the home page. The features of Google+ are still being rolled out, but here’s a look at a few of the notables.

  • Sorry gents, you did read that right. Apple has finally gotten their “Buy a Mac for College” page up, but this time, the typical “Get a free iPod Touch” promotion has been replaced by a “Get $100 in purchases from the Mac App Store”. Now for some, this promotion will be great, seeing as so many people already own some sort of iDevice and don’t need another one, but if you were looking forward to grabbing yourself one with your next Mac purchase, maybe something to sell on Craigslist, you’re out of luck.

  • iMessage is a clear competitor to Blackberry’s famous BBM service they launched a while back. And while this service is pretty awesome for Blackberry owners, the number of these owners is steadily decreasing, due mostly in part to the increasingly better features found on iOS, Android, and Windows Phone 7. At WWDC this last Monday, Scott Forstall and Greg Joswiak showed off Apple’s new competitor to the service: iMessage. iMessage is more than just a messaging service between iPhones; it’s a way to keep in touch with anybody using a device with iOS 5 built-on. The most interesting part of the service is probably the speed. You’ll know things like when a person begins...

  • Yesterday Apple had more then a little to talk about. With the announcement of iOS 5 shipping this fall, the demo’s of OS X Lion coming next month, and perhaps the most intriguing announcement, iCloud. For a long time Apple has failed to take advantage of cloud service, failed to show that they understand the cloud. Lets see if they get it now.

My Thoughts: Lets talk about clouds.
