  • According to the above image and a few others, an iPhone running on T-Mobile’s 3G network may be in the works, which unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past month may or may not make sense. T-Mobile is of course in the process of being rung-up by AT&T and seeing as that would be completed next March, there would be no point. The above image could just be a jailbreak, but all that confidential stuff on the lock-screen and the model being N94 (different from current models) speaks otherwise. It also has been spotted running an updated A5 chip. Yeah that’s a big deal, and it could...

  • That’s right folks, that image (skilfully crafted by Engadget’s late Josh Topolsky) is supposedly what the next iPhone should look like with a metal back housing, extremely thin bezel and equally thin back. It looks much like the current gen iPod Touch, and I certainly wouldn’t enjoy that – I enjoy having the peace and comfort that comes with everyone else knowing I have an iPhone. It’s a good differentiator between the common teen and an adult. Anyway’s, the source (This is my next) says the above mockup might be a little too extreme and the housing may not be metal, but something similar might come along for the iPhone 5...

QUICK HIT: The future of iPhone might be below this title.

  • Wow! What a fantastic couple of weeks it has been. Not only have we seen Apple’s prime software Final Cut Pro get an update, but a whole bunch of suing is going on too! A plus and a minus, if you ask me. Apple, in case you didn’t know, is suing Samsung. This is not surprising: Just take a gander at any Samsung Galaxy S device and it’s pretty clear where Apple is getting their angst from. More specifically, Samsung’s Galaxy S 4G  looks to be the target (just check out the comparison below). Back at the Final Cut Pro update, this is a wild update. Not only have they...

  • Call me surprised. Actually don’t, you’d be a fool. A survey by ChangeWave Research has revealed that AT&T drops the most calls of any mobile network, at 4.6 calls per 100 (4.6%). Verizon unsurprisingly takes the lead in this survey with only 1.4 dropped calls per 100 (1.4%). T-Mobile is second at 2.3% and Sprint is third at 2.7%. AT&T reached out and said that a survey by GWS not so very long ago revealed a 98.6% success rate, or exactly the same as Verizon’s. Hopefully, AT&T’s upcoming LTE and current HSPA+ network’s will help that number drop more. Best of luck to you, because you will need it. ~ Jake Root Yes,...

  • The day of humongous iPod Touch storage has come, or so we think. 9 to 5 Mac has found images of what appears to be a 128GB iPod Touch. This is strange because the about page has the currently available space at 126.5GB when the OS usually takes up much more space than that. Wonders of a smaller-sized iOS now ponder in my head. What’s more, the images also show a capacitive home button. This is quite a large step for Apple, away from their trusty buttons which always work – to something in my opinion that doesn’t always. But if I look into the future, I don’t see buttons,...

  • Apple has this sort of magical thing they release with every new product. Somebody who has never owned an Apple product who buys one tends to feel this sort of off feeling, a sensation that all they can think of from there on is that they love Apple. Okay, I’ll cut the bullshit now. Apple within hours of putting WWDC tickets on sale sold out of the tickets. Obviously this means lots of the population must be very excited to see what Apple has to show off. There has been rumor about that tells of Apple not releasing a new iPhone (5) however I disagree, and I would definitely not be surprised...

  • You may call it a surprise, but I certainly won’t. Apple, for the fourth straight year is being called the world’s most admired company, as told by Fortune. With all the products they’ve released and Steve Jobs being the man he is, they’re probably one of the most successful companies too. When Steve leaves for medical reasons, stock for AAPL always drops, but he’s always there to assure everyone the company is still running full steam ahead. I can only congratulate them for this. Nice job boys! ~ Jake Root Apple Correspondent Source: money.cnn.com

  • Despite the fact I follow technology news quite vigorously, I did not see this coming at all. AT&T has announced today that they will be purchasing the US’s secondary GSM carrier from Deutsche-Telekom (based in Europe). The companies say it will take about 12 months for the entire thing to go through, if it even does at all. There are quite the number of regulatory hurdles they have to go over. When it’s all said and done though, goodbye T-Mobile USA, it will just be AT&T. Only one GSM carrier for the entire country. Win-win situation? Over-all, it will cost $39 billion (cash and stock). Because the networks are both...

  • You may not use Myfi, but rather one of the other jailbreak tools that allow you to tether for free, but nonetheless, AT&T is essentially forcing you to stop. How exactly they know is beyond our comprehension, but they seem to be targeting the right users, ones with the software installed. If you are one of the lucky, or rather unlucky peers who do use free tethering, AT&T is going to force you to stop by making you pay for the service. They will automatically add a tethering plan onto your current plan at $45 dollars a month, a DataPro 4GB. If you are a grandfather user like myself and...
