Then new Motorola Lapdock 500 Pro.
Posted on October 18, 2011 | View CommentsThe Lapdock was something Motorola first showed off to us back when the Atrix was announced, it also launched with the Droid Bionic. It was not really a great device. Not Motorola has decided to try again, this time adding a 14 inch more MacBook Pro style Lapdock 500 Pro to the line. The 500 has a much larger track pad, what appears to be a bettery keyboard and of course a larger 14 inch screen. No word on pricing yet. ~Zephaniah Washington. AGRS Editor-in-chief. -

Droid Bionic Quick Unboxing and Overview
Posted on September 18, 2011 | View CommentsIt’s a few days late, but I’ve been having more then a few issues with my Mac lately. I still need a few more days before I type up the review, but here are my impressions of the device so far. It’s a really good phone. Pentile display is not too bad, and even at minimum brightness you can see it in sun light. Great feel in the hands, if you live in a 4G area your speed will be super fast. I don’t love the camera, I think it’s an issue with the stock camera app, I’ve just been using Light Box and it takes wonderful shots. Also, I’ve... -
Motorola Droid Bionic On Sale Now!
Posted on September 8, 2011 | View CommentsIt’s been one long wait for the phone we saw back at CES 2011, but was it for the best? I think so. Shortly after we learned that the Bionic in it’s first form would be delayed, we saw leaked images of a device code named Targa, we knew then that this would be the Bionic, and now it is. You can order your Bionic online from Verizon for $299 with new 2/yr agreement, or $590 if you forgo said agreement. Or if you’re the Amazon type, you can head over to their mobile devision and pick up the “device to rule them all” for a cool $199 with a... -
LTE equipment being installed in Apple Stores, iPhone with LTE radio supposedly being tested
Posted on August 16, 2011 | View CommentsThis probably doesn’t come as a surprise for me, including myself, but from recent news we’ve heard (aka a post on Engadget), some LTE equipment is being installed at Apple Stores, by AT&T. This comes after yesterday’s BGR find — where they found a property list file that has to do with LTE devices on iOS 5. The equipment at the AT&T store supports the 700MHz and AWS bands, bothof which are planning to be used by AT&T — if they get T-Mobile. Engadget was also told that the Apple store(s) in question are also trying to increase the number of floor salesman by 30%, for the apparent rush the everyone... -
Telecommunications Industry Association approves of AT&T/T-Mobile merger
Posted on August 12, 2011 | View CommentsThings are beginning to lighten up in the merger world, specifically for those two communication companies, AT&T and T-Mobile. The TIA is made up of some of the larger names in the tech industry such as Apple, Nokia, Intel, and Microsoft. TIA’s President Grant Seiffert said the following about the merger: “Combining the infrastructure and resources of AT&T and T-Mobile would help create a reliable, high-speed mobile broadband network and encourage a virtuous cycle of investment and innovation in America’s business sector, meet growing consumer demand for these services, and address the looming spectrum crisis. The potential benefits of the merger should be given substantial weight in the FCC’s review... -
Its Leaking: First Images of Ice Cream Sandwich?
Posted on August 11, 2011 | View CommentsHere is what we like to see. It looks like Google has a leak, a leak that likes to take blurry shots of in-dev versions of Android. Android Police and Rootz Wiki have obtained leaked shots of what could be Android 4 aka Ice Cream Sandwich or ICS. It appears that Google does not yet have new developer hardware, so if these shots are real, then the Nexus S is playing lab rat for ICS. We should point out that this could be clever skinning and some nice root apps, but we will give anything a look. We did see images leaked several months ago of what could be the... -
FCC temporarily halts AT&T’s purchase of Qualcomm spectrum, speaks of T-Mobile merger
Posted on August 9, 2011 | View CommentsHere we go again, sadly. The FCC has come out today and announced in a statement that Wireless Bureau chief Rick Kaplan plans to stop the 180 day review time on AT&T’s proposed purchase of Qualcomm’s 700MHz spectrum. This doesn’t mean the end of the deal, but this does have a great deal to do with the planned merger, as it “overlaps” some of AT&T’s plans. Qualcomm’s VP of Government Affairs, Dean Brenner reached out to Engadget with an official statement: “The FCC should approve the pending AT&T-Qualcomm spectrum sale now because of the clear benefits to the public from the sale that stand on their own and are totally unrelated to...
