Mark your iCal. Apple wants to talk iPhone Oct. 4.
Posted on September 27, 2011 | View CommentsLadies and gentlemen, Apple would like to “talk iPhone” on October 4th. All we can really say is what they’ve all said “it’s about time.” Apple has been a bit slow with the iPhone 4S/5/What ever, lets hope this is because they are actually going to pac some game changing features into this iteration of phone(s). We of course will see iOS 5, which is certainly going to be a nice feature boost to the slightly stale iOS, but we all now what we want to see, that hardware. We will have our breakdown of all the news as it becomes available. Also if Apple provides a live stream, we... -
Motorola XOOM Receives Mysterious OTA Update.
Posted on September 20, 2011 | View CommentsI was just about to check some email on my XOOM when I get a nice little pop-up message, telling me that my device had an OTA update ready for it. Naturally I click download and what do you know, Android 3.2.1 was waiting to install to my XOOM. According to information on the “restart & install” screen, this version (HTK55D) brings “security fixes” and “enhancements” to the XOOM. I’m not sure what those “enhancements” are, but I will update this article if I find anything amazing. According to Android Police, this is update is a bit slow to roll out to users, so you might want to see if... -
Droid Bionic Quick Unboxing and Overview
Posted on September 18, 2011 | View CommentsIt’s a few days late, but I’ve been having more then a few issues with my Mac lately. I still need a few more days before I type up the review, but here are my impressions of the device so far. It’s a really good phone. Pentile display is not too bad, and even at minimum brightness you can see it in sun light. Great feel in the hands, if you live in a 4G area your speed will be super fast. I don’t love the camera, I think it’s an issue with the stock camera app, I’ve just been using Light Box and it takes wonderful shots. Also, I’ve... -
Motorola Droid Bionic On Sale Now!
Posted on September 8, 2011 | View CommentsIt’s been one long wait for the phone we saw back at CES 2011, but was it for the best? I think so. Shortly after we learned that the Bionic in it’s first form would be delayed, we saw leaked images of a device code named Targa, we knew then that this would be the Bionic, and now it is. You can order your Bionic online from Verizon for $299 with new 2/yr agreement, or $590 if you forgo said agreement. Or if you’re the Amazon type, you can head over to their mobile devision and pick up the “device to rule them all” for a cool $199 with a... -

Google Wants to Purchase Motorola???
Posted on August 17, 2011 | View CommentsYes, it is true. Just the other day, Google announced that they are planning on buying Motorola Mobility. Many ideas have been circling since the news broke a few days ago as to what will happen, and it is clear that this “take over” of Motorola by Google is for greater things in the future. One of those ideas that are circling around is “supercharging Android”. Android may be the top OS in the smartphone market today, but Apple is still pretty high up, and Google woud love to change that. So, by acquiring Motorola, they should have the ability to make Android go into superdrive and destroy the competition,...
