This is an Outrage!
Posted on January 19, 2012 | View CommentsSo just after the largest internet protest in history, the US government gives us all the middle finger and takes down MegaUpload. This is what SOPA/PIPA will do. We MUST KILL BOTH BILLS NOW! Please read the following from Demand Progress. Also SPREAD THE WORD ON ALL SOCIAL MEDIA SITES! Yes, we know — another email. But this news is urgent UNBELIEVABLE: One day after history’s largest online protest, the U.S. Government nonchalantly responds with the middle finger. The Wall Street Journal reports: The FBI shut down Thursday one of the world’s most popular file-sharing websites, MegaUpload.com, and announced the arrest of four of the people behind it in a... -
[Updated]Gaming: Xbox Live Down?
Posted on December 6, 2011 | View CommentsAs many gamers know, today is the day that Microsoft rolls out the new Dashboard. Well, it’s causing a few problems. I went to sign into Xbox Live pre-update and got “unable to connect”, I went to “Test Connection” and was prompted to download the update. I was able to download and install the update, but am unable to sign in. More and more repports of this problem are coming in (as well as a rumor the the entire network is down, though that is only a rumor). We will keep you up to date with information as we get it. Mark your iCal. Apple wants to talk iPhone Oct. 4.
Posted on September 27, 2011 | View CommentsLadies and gentlemen, Apple would like to “talk iPhone” on October 4th. All we can really say is what they’ve all said “it’s about time.” Apple has been a bit slow with the iPhone 4S/5/What ever, lets hope this is because they are actually going to pac some game changing features into this iteration of phone(s). We of course will see iOS 5, which is certainly going to be a nice feature boost to the slightly stale iOS, but we all now what we want to see, that hardware. We will have our breakdown of all the news as it becomes available. Also if Apple provides a live stream, we... -
Telecommunications Industry Association approves of AT&T/T-Mobile merger
Posted on August 12, 2011 | View CommentsThings are beginning to lighten up in the merger world, specifically for those two communication companies, AT&T and T-Mobile. The TIA is made up of some of the larger names in the tech industry such as Apple, Nokia, Intel, and Microsoft. TIA’s President Grant Seiffert said the following about the merger: “Combining the infrastructure and resources of AT&T and T-Mobile would help create a reliable, high-speed mobile broadband network and encourage a virtuous cycle of investment and innovation in America’s business sector, meet growing consumer demand for these services, and address the looming spectrum crisis. The potential benefits of the merger should be given substantial weight in the FCC’s review... -
UK Apple stores removing inventory from main floors in face of riots
Posted on August 9, 2011 | View CommentsWhile normally, the UK seems like a great place, recent riots over the shooting of 29 year-old man by police have sparked some stores to relieve their main floors of product. This is seen in some Apple stores around the nation, the above being a good example. A statement from the store is as follows: “Above: Due To The Riots In England, The Apple Store In Liverpool One have moved all stock up stairs from the show floor.” Resellers are also getting into the action. This leads us to believe that this is an Apple mandated order and that all stores around London must remove their inventory from their ground... -

Mac OS X Lion – Coming tomorrow to the Mac App Store
Posted on July 19, 2011 | View CommentsYou’ve read correctly folks, the famed OS X addition Lion is coming tomorrow to the Mac App Store for the thoughtfully thought-out price of $30. The best way to see Mac OS X Lion is that of an addition. This is 10.7, not Mac OS 11. This new OS builds on top of the success of the Macintosh operating system by adding great new features such as new multi-touch gestures, Mission Control for controlling and previewing all your open applications, Launchpad, for finding and launching all the applications on your Mac, full-screen applications for easier viewing of the media in the app, Resume for opening an app right where you left off... -
ITC finds HTC guilty on two of Apple’s patents, HTC prepares to fight back
Posted on July 15, 2011 | View CommentsSo far, Apple has been having a hell of a time in the courthouse, and I might say, this is a good thing for them. However, this is bad for HTC, clearly. The ITC has ruled that 2 of the 10 patents Apple accused HTC of infringing on in Apple’s favor; in other words, HTC was found guilty. If everything plays well for Apple, we can expect particular devices manufactured by the Taiwanese company to be banned from reaching US shores. Good for Apple favoritism, bad for those who love HTC. HTC general counsel Grace Lei responded back quickly with the following statement: “HTC will vigorously fight these two remaining patents through an appeal...
