Is this the new iPhone 5?
Posted on August 5, 2011 | View CommentsNot much is known quite yet, but one thing is: Apple’s manufactures have been slipping lately (and over the last few years), and if this is the final design for the next-gen iPhone, it certainly wouldn’t surprise us. Gizchina.com has slipped a few photos in the direction of the internet recently, and the new design matches up pretty well with what we’ve been seeing as the iPhone 5 case. While we won’t be suggesting that this is definitely the final design, it certainly does look quite a bit like final hardware. One thing I must note is that, looking at the above image, looking closely, you can almost make out... -
Facebook iPad app found hidden inside iPhone app, available to jailbreakers
Posted on July 26, 2011 | View CommentsThe community at Facebook didn’t seem to think that having a Facebook application made just for the iPad was necessary, or so we thought. Apparently, they have gone back on their word that the iPad was not a mobile device suited for a mobile Facebook application, and actually not only developed an iPad application, but released it unknowingly in an update somewhat recently (like two days ago). According to Techcrunch’s MG Siegler, “All of this is possible apparently thanks to a seemingly tiny update Facebook pushed yesterday to their iPhone app. Version 3.4.4 seemed like a small version that restored the “Send” button for comments and chat among a few other little... -

Posted on July 24, 2011 | View CommentsYou may have purchased an iMac between May and July of 2011. You may have also equipped those iMac’s with a 1TB hard drive. If you did, you may be noticing some issues, possibly the fact that it failed. Apple understands your issues, and they have began a replacement program to get you a new hard drive. As long as you registered your Mac, Apple has been emailing you already about a replacement, but you may not have registered your Mac. If you are part of that group, follow the source link below to get to replacing it. Just throw in your serial number and it will check to see... -

The company has released an updated Macbook Air, a new Mac Mini, and finally released the long awaited Mac OS X 10.7, codenamed Lion. Read on for more information on the first two, and for more information on Lion, read last-nights post here. The new Macbook Air Apple has prominitely featured the new Macbook Air right on their homepage — and for good reason. The new Macbook Air features the same sized displays as before, but with much faster internals. The new Sandy Bridge processors speed along at great speeds, the laptop now comes with i5 and i7 options. The... -
New Mac Mini is 2x Faster, Processor and Graphics.
Posted on July 20, 2011 | View CommentsWhile we are still wondering what Apple has decided to do with the classic white MacBook, we are going to talk a little about the new Mac Mini, as we fear it will get lost in the hype of Lion and the new MacBook Air’s. We of course, will feature the MacBook Air, just not right this second. So, what has changed with the new Mini? We could start with price, the new Mini starts at $599 and comes with a 2x performance boost both in processor and graphics ability. In addition, the Mac Mini has been updated to be on par with the other members of the Mac line... -
Apple Store is down again. Lion Time. Update
Posted on July 20, 2011 | View CommentsI personally expected OS X Lion to be available at 12:01AM today, but I was wrong. Currently the Apple online store is down, prepping for OS X Lion. But what else could be coming? Rumors have it that Lion will launch with new MacBook Air’s, possible new Mac Mini’s, and possibly a long over due refresh for the classic white MacBook? We will just have to wait and see. So get your credit cards ready Mac fans, $30 and it’s time to roar. Update: New MacBook Air announced, more on that coming soon. Currently the online store is open and I am going to be downloading OS X Lion now.... -
Apple’s earnings call leaves us impressed, $28.57 billion in revenue for Q3
Posted on July 19, 2011 | View CommentsWay to impress Apple, way to impress! In Apple’s earnings call today, the company shared some fantastic news for any stockholders out there: The company made a staggering $28.57 billion dollars in revenue! That’s most impressive. That’s up from the $15.7 billion the same time last year. Some obvious contributions to the massive amount of coin earned is the updated iLife applications, the very successful Macbook Air, the most-powerful iMac yet (4 cores for everyone! Yay!), and the always successful iPhone. Per share amounts were $7.79 over last year’s $3.51. Here’s the sales numbers: 3.95 M Macs (14% year-over-year unit increase) 20.34 M iPhones (142% yoy increase) 7.54 M iPods... -
Mac OS X Lion – Coming tomorrow to the Mac App Store
Posted on July 19, 2011 | View CommentsYou’ve read correctly folks, the famed OS X addition Lion is coming tomorrow to the Mac App Store for the thoughtfully thought-out price of $30. The best way to see Mac OS X Lion is that of an addition. This is 10.7, not Mac OS 11. This new OS builds on top of the success of the Macintosh operating system by adding great new features such as new multi-touch gestures, Mission Control for controlling and previewing all your open applications, Launchpad, for finding and launching all the applications on your Mac, full-screen applications for easier viewing of the media in the app, Resume for opening an app right where you left off... -
ITC finds HTC guilty on two of Apple’s patents, HTC prepares to fight back
Posted on July 15, 2011 | View CommentsSo far, Apple has been having a hell of a time in the courthouse, and I might say, this is a good thing for them. However, this is bad for HTC, clearly. The ITC has ruled that 2 of the 10 patents Apple accused HTC of infringing on in Apple’s favor; in other words, HTC was found guilty. If everything plays well for Apple, we can expect particular devices manufactured by the Taiwanese company to be banned from reaching US shores. Good for Apple favoritism, bad for those who love HTC. HTC general counsel Grace Lei responded back quickly with the following statement: “HTC will vigorously fight these two remaining patents through an appeal... -
Apple announces new Time Capsule, now available in 3TB
Posted on June 23, 2011 | View CommentsWe knew the day would come, when Apple would come forward and announce a new Time Capsule. It certainly took quite a while but we finally have it. Just yesterday, Apple announced it will be releasing a new Time Capsule. Besides a number of new features, it most importantly features a 3TB hard drive, because you need it. Actually, to be brutally honest, that’s it. All this update was, was a hard drive size increase. Hey, but it’s helpful! More and more computers (especially those that bear an Apple logo) are becoming commonplace, and everyone should backup their computer. And you need somewhere for the files to go, hence the...
