Then new Motorola Lapdock 500 Pro.
Posted on October 18, 2011 | View CommentsThe Lapdock was something Motorola first showed off to us back when the Atrix was announced, it also launched with the Droid Bionic. It was not really a great device. Not Motorola has decided to try again, this time adding a 14 inch more MacBook Pro style Lapdock 500 Pro to the line. The 500 has a much larger track pad, what appears to be a bettery keyboard and of course a larger 14 inch screen. No word on pricing yet. ~Zephaniah Washington. AGRS Editor-in-chief. -

Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple, has died at 56
Posted on October 5, 2011 | View CommentsA lifelong leader, and an idol for the entire tech industry, Apple’s site has just revealed that Steven Paul Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, Inc, has died at the age of 56, mere months after announcing he was stepping down as CEO of the company, and giving the reins over to Tim Cook. “We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today,” Apple said in a brief statement. AllThingsD has posted a memo CEO Tim Cook has sent to all employees, announcing they will be holding an internal celebration, in honor (seen after the break). AGRS and it’s employees send out our condolences to his family. We will continue... -
[EDITORIAL] The iPhone 4S – Already Behind in the Game?
Posted on October 4, 2011 | View CommentsToday was a good day for Apple and Apple lovers, but it makes me wonder, “Apple, have you forgotten that you are competing with other manufacturers in the mobile world?” I ask myself that because the iPhone 4S is behind in almost every category, and that is not an opinion, that is an observed fact when you compare the specs with other devices. Don’t believe me? Lets compare the iPhone 4S with the Samsung Galaxy S II. -
Apple’s “Let’s Talk iPhone” event roundup
Posted on October 4, 2011 | View CommentsApple has taken the wraps off of it’s new iPhone, dubbed the 4S, today in Cupertino. They also announced some information regarding a new white color for the iPod Touch, new pricing for the iPod Nano, and a few other things, including a virtual person. Read on if you are legitimately interested in what Apple had to offer today. -
Mark your iCal. Apple wants to talk iPhone Oct. 4.
Posted on September 27, 2011 | View CommentsLadies and gentlemen, Apple would like to “talk iPhone” on October 4th. All we can really say is what they’ve all said “it’s about time.” Apple has been a bit slow with the iPhone 4S/5/What ever, lets hope this is because they are actually going to pac some game changing features into this iteration of phone(s). We of course will see iOS 5, which is certainly going to be a nice feature boost to the slightly stale iOS, but we all now what we want to see, that hardware. We will have our breakdown of all the news as it becomes available. Also if Apple provides a live stream, we... -
LTE equipment being installed in Apple Stores, iPhone with LTE radio supposedly being tested
Posted on August 16, 2011 | View CommentsThis probably doesn’t come as a surprise for me, including myself, but from recent news we’ve heard (aka a post on Engadget), some LTE equipment is being installed at Apple Stores, by AT&T. This comes after yesterday’s BGR find — where they found a property list file that has to do with LTE devices on iOS 5. The equipment at the AT&T store supports the 700MHz and AWS bands, bothof which are planning to be used by AT&T — if they get T-Mobile. Engadget was also told that the Apple store(s) in question are also trying to increase the number of floor salesman by 30%, for the apparent rush the everyone... -
Telecommunications Industry Association approves of AT&T/T-Mobile merger
Posted on August 12, 2011 | View CommentsThings are beginning to lighten up in the merger world, specifically for those two communication companies, AT&T and T-Mobile. The TIA is made up of some of the larger names in the tech industry such as Apple, Nokia, Intel, and Microsoft. TIA’s President Grant Seiffert said the following about the merger: “Combining the infrastructure and resources of AT&T and T-Mobile would help create a reliable, high-speed mobile broadband network and encourage a virtuous cycle of investment and innovation in America’s business sector, meet growing consumer demand for these services, and address the looming spectrum crisis. The potential benefits of the merger should be given substantial weight in the FCC’s review... -
Apple suit against Samsung in Germany wins out in favor of Apple, Galaxy Tab 10.1 sales halted in EU
Posted on August 10, 2011 | View CommentsThe war against the companies rage on, and in this week’s episode, we have Apple and Samsung and Germany. The country has decided in a hearing that, due to the design of the Tab 10.1, which is eerily similar to the iPad, all sales in the European Union will be halted for the tablet, except for the Netherlands. Samsung naturally responded to the hearing favoring against it (clearly), and will fight back at the ruling. This comes in light of Apple suing Samsung across the world for theft of intellectual property, in this case, the design of the Korean company’s 10.1 inch tablet. Apple hopes to block the sales of the tablet... -
UK Apple stores removing inventory from main floors in face of riots
Posted on August 9, 2011 | View CommentsWhile normally, the UK seems like a great place, recent riots over the shooting of 29 year-old man by police have sparked some stores to relieve their main floors of product. This is seen in some Apple stores around the nation, the above being a good example. A statement from the store is as follows: “Above: Due To The Riots In England, The Apple Store In Liverpool One have moved all stock up stairs from the show floor.” Resellers are also getting into the action. This leads us to believe that this is an Apple mandated order and that all stores around London must remove their inventory from their ground...
