iPhone 3GS may not support iOS 5, according to Mobile-Review
Posted on May 24, 2011 | View CommentsThat’s right folks, according to the editor and chief over at Mobile-Review (by the name Eldar Murtazin), Apple’s smartphone released back in 2009 may not support this years mobile OS update. His tweet read: “Just one comment. Apple iPhone 3Gs wont be upgradable to iOS 5.x. iPhone 4 will”. It is a strange tweet, in that it has two meanings: either one, he meant what we think he did, or two that he was referring to the plural form of the iPhone 3G, which would also make sense. The hardware inside the 3GS, especially for its time, is and was absolutely fantastic. As a user, I can say I am very... -

The second iteration of the ever popular Droid 2 will be launching tomorrow (May 19) for online orders, and in store on May 26 for $199 on a two year contract. The phone is powered by a dual core Tegra 2 processor, 512 MB of RAM, and 8GB of onboard storage, and a 8GB SD card. The X2 also as a 4.3 Inch qHD screen, an 8MP camera, and supports HDMI mirroring. Droid X2 Arriving May 26.
Posted on May 12, 2011 | View CommentsThe DROID X2 was actually supposed to land today, however we thought it might get pushed back like the Droid Charge, this was the case. According to Verizon, the Droid X2 will be launching May 26th with direct fulfillment orders starting on May 19th. This is not the most exciting phone in Verizon’s summer barrage, but it is certainly no slouch. The X2 is powered by a 1GHz Dual Core Tegra 2 processor, similar to the Motorola XOOM. We actually heard that rumor a few months ago, and I’m glad to see it fulfilled. Also in this “hummer” is a 8MP rear camera, 720p video capture, 1080p out, 8GB of... -

Qualcomm’s new processors rival your laptop. Blow through 1080p Flash.
Posted on May 2, 2011 | View CommentsQualcomm, the people behind the ever popular Snapdragon processor have developed a new platform. This platform is dedicated to high quality video play back through and on you Android device, with the new Qualcomm dual core processors and Adreno render engine 220. The new processor is the MSM8660. What it lacks in a name, the 8660 makes up for in GHz and performance. The 8660 has a clock speed of 1.5GHz and is a dual core chipset. This officially blows my Motorola XOOM out of the water in terms of clock speed, but the performance isn’t only noticeable in how many times I have to type “GHz” with numbers in... -

Well, you will be waiting a little longer to get that 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus, phone in your hands. Due to Verizon’s massive 4G LTE outage — that now has lasted over 24 hours and counting — Samsung and Verizon have decided to delay the launch of the Charge for a yet determined time period. So no, you will not be getting this in your hands today or tomorrow. We will keep an eye on this story and let you know when you can get your Charge on. Let us know your thoughts in the... -
Apple news for the week of April 17th (and more!)
Posted on April 22, 2011 | View CommentsWow! What a fantastic couple of weeks it has been. Not only have we seen Apple’s prime software Final Cut Pro get an update, but a whole bunch of suing is going on too! A plus and a minus, if you ask me. Apple, in case you didn’t know, is suing Samsung. This is not surprising: Just take a gander at any Samsung Galaxy S device and it’s pretty clear where Apple is getting their angst from. More specifically, Samsung’s Galaxy S 4G looks to be the target (just check out the comparison below). Back at the Final Cut Pro update, this is a wild update. Not only have they... -

Epic Win: iPhone 4 is now the Lesser
Posted on April 21, 2011 | View CommentsSo, Verizon, if you didn’t know, has the iPhone 4 on their network, and they have for a few weeks. They have also had the Thunderbolt for the past few weeks as well, and if you ask any lipschitdz teenager they will say, “duur, the iPhone 4 is the best, of course it is going to sell more!” Wrong!
