Zephaniah Washington is the Editor-in-chief of AGRS Tech News. He founded AGRS with Nicolas Wiggins (COO) back in April 2010. Before creating AGRS Zephaniah had written some posts here and there but nothing professional, that is until he joined LearnNa’vi. Zephaniah found himself almost obsessed with James Cameron’s Avatar, a movie he was against seeing when it came out. Friends convinced him to see the movie and after that everything changed. He became a writer at the LearnNa’vi forums and started many successful threads about Na’vi culture. When Apple’s iPad came out, he found himself almost needing to write about tech and news. He wrote a free lance review of the iPad and later published it to his blog, Average Guy Reviews Stuff. Average as it was known did not fare well in the blogging world and he soon took it down. He continued his work for Learn Na’vi or LN to members and was even asked to be an editor on the still non-existent LN Blog. However he felt the need to write more. Zephaniah relaunched Average as “[AGRS] Tech and News Blog” in early January. His review of the iPad managed to get him a few views but nothing great, he began writing about world news and even some LN sourced posts where he described his thoughts and passions. Views began to fall and with no real experience in professional blogging he began following Twitter users for stories to write about. Things were not going as planned. In early March Nicolas Wiggins now COO and Android Correspondent joined the failing “Apple obsessed” blog and began writing about the still new Android OS. Almost over night views jumped. Together the two relaunched the site as AGRS Tech and News, but found they really did not cover world news. As the blog grew they added Joel Pederson and soon relaunched again as “AGRS Tech News” the site we know today. Zephaniah continues to write for LN but his focus is on AGRS and is currently looking for new writers. With the help of his good friend Nicolas Wiggins he hopes to revolutionize how tech news is “blogged” about. Mixing professionalism with passion, personal views with hard facts, and always allowing writers to have their own passions and say in things.
