Droid Bionic Teaser Page Up. Its about time.

Looks like Verizon is gearing up for the Droid Bionic. As Big Red has done with every other major iteration of their line of Droid branded phones, Verizon has launched a “teaser” page for the Droid Bionic. We say finally because it has been over a year since we heard the name Bionic, for a while, a few of us even thought that the phone had been scrapped. The Bionic was supposed to be a near clone of the Atrix 4G on AT&T. Several months ago we heard that the design had been scrapped, in favor a much improved design. We the first glimpse of what the possible design might be, came with the code name Targa attached. Several months later, Droid-Life broke the silence of the Bionic by leaking these images. Fast forward to little more then a month ago, and a Twitter feed appeared with the user name of @MDB228, the code name for the remade Bionic (though @DroidBionic claims the page is fake, I still think Motorola made it, and if they did, then it is the best marketing ploy I’ve ever seen). MDB228 also has posted on some forums with one amazing story, but I digress.

We have heard rumors of an early September launch for the Bionic (after it missed the long believed August 4 (this editors birthday) release date). With Best Buy expecting Bionic cases to begin arriving by August 20th, and now with this email grabbing “teaser” page up, it seems that a very early September release date is imminent. We are also beginning to see leaked images of what seems to be final build hardware and near final release software. A gallery after the break.
