Nexus 3 On Camera? Could be called Prime.

It seems that things are leaking more and more. Now we have what is potentially an unmarked HTC device that Google Android dev’s are using to test the up and coming release of Ice Cream Sandwich. Aside from the fact that this looks like an iPod Touch, the most noticeable feature is the lack of physical (capacitive) buttons. This lack of buttons first appeared in Honeycomb (Android 3.x) and now is moving to phones. It will be interesting to see how Google implements this feature, especially considering that a control bar (like on Honeycomb) could take up a lot of room on a smaller screened phone.

TechHog — where this picture comes from — has a “friend” inside to walls of Google who snapped this. According to this friend, the Nexus 3 could be made by either HTC (as all Nexus’s have been) or by LG. The source also states that the final hardware will probably look nothing like this, but that the specs will remain and that those specs are amazing. Now most sites are calling this the Nexus 3 (as out title states), but another name that has been tossed around is Nexus Prime. I personally like this name, however it could be nothing more then wishful thinking. You’ll most likely hear us refer to the newest iteration of the Nexus as the Prime.

Also, if you go to click the source link, you’ll find that TechHog has been asked to remove all information and images of the Nexus Prime, which does mean Google is a bit worried about this getting out too soon. I should also state. If AGRS is asked the same, we will comply. So get this and share it with your tech loving friends while its still here.
