iPhone 3GS may not support iOS 5, according to Mobile-Review

That’s right folks, according to the editor and chief over at Mobile-Review (by the name Eldar Murtazin), Apple’s smartphone released back in 2009 may not support this years mobile OS update. His tweet read: “Just one comment. Apple iPhone 3Gs wont be upgradable to iOS 5.x. iPhone 4 will”. It is a strange tweet, in that it has two meanings: either one, he meant what we think he did, or two that he was referring to the plural form of the iPhone 3G, which would also make sense.

The hardware inside the 3GS, especially for its time, is and was absolutely fantastic. As a user, I can say I am very happy. Apple not supporting it would surprise me greatly. Easily one of their most popular phones (and currently cheapest) would not get what might be a legendary OS update (not what everyone thinks). Let’s just hope for the best and that it gets it.
