Posted on April 28, 2011 | View CommentsIf you don’t read online very much, then you might not know that Hulu Plus; Hulu’s pay-for service to watch online videos and Tv shows, is coming to your Xbox 360. The best part? Tomorrow, April 29 is the release date. And the even better part of it? All members get one free week to try out the service to see if they like it and would be interested in keeping it (that does apply to Silver and Gold members). All of this is courtesy of Jack Link’s Beef Jerky. Odd, right? ~ Jake Root -
QUICK HIT: Droid Charge launch fronzen indefinitely.
Posted on April 28, 2011 | View CommentsSo we’ve all seen the new Droid on the block, the Samsung Droid Charge. Well, you will be waiting a little longer to get that 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus, phone in your hands. Due to Verizon’s massive 4G LTE outage — that now has lasted over 24 hours and counting — Samsung and Verizon have decided to delay the launch of the Charge for a yet determined time period. So no, you will not be getting this in your hands today or tomorrow. We will keep an eye on this story and let you know when you can get your Charge on. Let us know your thoughts in the... -
iOS still leads for developer attention
Posted on April 26, 2011 | View CommentsAccording to a recent study by Appcelerator, iOS for iPhone and iPad are leading for interest regarding application development, with Android close behind iPad and Honeycomb not too far behind that. This helps us know what we can expect in the future, suchas the fact Windows Phone 7 does not have as much to call for, and neither does Blackberry (never mind webOS or Meego). However, as we all know too well, things can change. We can only wait and see. ~ Jake Root Apple Correspondent -
Apple in talks to update iMac line next week
Posted on April 25, 2011 | View CommentsAccording to the very trust-able source 9-to-5 Mac, Apple is set to debut new iMac’s next week. This comes as no surprise, seeing as there is always things that need to change in every computer. New hard drive options, more default RAM, better processors, Thunderbolt connectivity, better video card options, Windows pre-installed for Boot-Camp lovers (okay maybe not that last one but Apple is legally obligated to do that), and a whole slew of other updates are possible next week. According to 9-to-5, Apple will soon stop shipping the current iMac’s, despite Apple.com still listing the computer at 24 hr delivery. Strange. So if we hear anything, we will let... -
Like Smart Cover? You’ll love this…
Posted on April 25, 2011 | View CommentsAs with most iPad 2 purchasers, looks are important. You love to show off that sexy aluminum housing and that Apple logo. But here’s the issue: That’s most people, not everyone. Some people, like myself, really like the idea behind the Smart Cover but want a back cover as well. Good news! M.I.C. Gadget has made the perfect cover for you! While keeping the top open, and room on the sides for the hinges of the Smart Cover, they have invented such case. Comes in white, black, and clear if you are so interested like myself. My personal favorite is the black one, matches any white iPad (yes black and... -
iPhone 4S spotted running in the wild with T-Mobile?
Posted on April 25, 2011 | View CommentsAccording to the above image and a few others, an iPhone running on T-Mobile’s 3G network may be in the works, which unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past month may or may not make sense. T-Mobile is of course in the process of being rung-up by AT&T and seeing as that would be completed next March, there would be no point. The above image could just be a jailbreak, but all that confidential stuff on the lock-screen and the model being N94 (different from current models) speaks otherwise. It also has been spotted running an updated A5 chip. Yeah that’s a big deal, and it could... -
QUICK HIT: Sony PSN Downtime.
Posted on April 23, 2011 | View CommentsI wanted to share a quick update on the state of the Playstation Network. While I do not own a PS3, I know many people who do and they are not very happy right now. So let’s recap, what the hell happened? Well according to Sony, the first part of the outage was caused by the world wide hacking group Anonymous. Anon has claimed responsibility for the outage, and their is nothing anyone can do to punish them for it. That’s just how the cookie crumbles folks. I’ve reached out to Sony for an official statement and here is the response I received: -
QUICK HIT: HTC Flyer Pre-Order Tomorrow at Best Buy, $499
Posted on April 23, 2011 | View CommentsBest Buy is the exclusive retailer for the nice 7″ Flyer by HTC, and they are going to start the pre-orders tomorrow for about $500. This tablet, although small, Android 2.3, and ran by a single core processor, is actually really good. HTC has added Scribe, which allows you to use a capacitive stylus and get a lot of use out of it. And don’t forget, HTC partnered with OnLive to give you on-the-go gaming, with a large selection of games from almost every console ever created. Furthermore, the device will be updated to Honeycomb in the future, no idea how HTC is going to keep Sense intact, though. Just...
