The HTC Thunderbolt

HTC Thunderbolt, one of the best phones ever created. There is a lot of news about it, and thats what this article is about. Pricing, Skype, reviews, and accessories, all right here. Sit back, relax, and enjoy.

We start with price. Yes, $250 on a 2 year contract at Verizon for this phone does seem a little much, especially when they made us wait this long for it! Amazon does take the pain away, however, by pricing it at a lower than normal $179 on a 2 year, which is much better. If you want to buy the Thunderbolt on a 1 year, it will be $320 at Verizon, and if you want freedom and no contracts, it will be a small price of $450 which trust me is much smaller than the original $750 they were hoping for earlier this year!

The bad news now starts though. You know how one of the major selling points of the Thunderbolt was Skype mobile? And how you could video call on it via Skype? Too bad for you, but Verizon lied. Skype has been taken off according to Best Buy, and there are no signs of it returning any time soon. They could not get it to work apparently. Look at the site, it has changed to reflect this:

Too bad, I really wanted that to go on the TBolt, but maybe later?

The Thunderbolt is amazing, we all know that, but how much cooler would it be to have a little sidekick with it? Thats where the multimedia dock comes in. After a long day in your pocket, your little phone deserves some chill time right? So you just pop it into a dock as you would with most devices.

For $60, you can share your photos and charge your device much faster with the multimedia dock. Good thing is, there is enough space on the back side of the charge dugout that it will be able to house an extended battery device with extended door, so even if you want more battery, it will fit.

The HTC Thunderbolt. Sure there are many problems, but there are many wows. Buy it? Sure, if you are on Verizon and are wanting a great smartphone, do it. If you are just looking to buy the best, then wait a few weeks once CTIA devices are released, since that conference is next week!
