Verizon Roadmap Leak. You may start planning your purchase now.
Posted on March 30, 2011 | View CommentsWe haven’t seen a large leak for Verizon in a while. Now we have been graced with the companies road-map for new phones and over the next two months we will see seven “above average” handsets from Verizon. We had wondered when we would see those shiny pieces of glass from CES make it into our hands and now we know. So without any further rambling from me, lets get to the dates. -
iPad 2 Release Date Set for More Countries
Posted on March 24, 2011 | View CommentsNot too long ago, Apple announced the release date of iPad 2, in just a few more countries, 25 to be straight-on. This list includes (in a nice, organized alphabetical order) Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. The release date is set for March 25 for a suggested retail price of $499 for the 16GB model, $599 for the 32GB model, and $699 the 64GB model, the same as in the US and adjusted for the proper currency rate, as the above is in American. iPad 2 with Wi-Fi + 3G will be... -
“…The EVO 3D is the Most Powerful Smartphone Announced to Date”
Posted on March 22, 2011 | View CommentsThats right, the new HTC EVO 3D on Sprint is THE most powerful, most amazing, and most eye-popping device ever announced. A dual core 1.2GHz processor runs America’s first 3D phone, and don’t worry, you will not be needing glasses to view your 3D content. Oh, and it captures and records in 3D as well. -
Prepare to be Blown Away: The HTC EVO 3D
Posted on March 21, 2011 | View CommentsWe are less than a day away from the announcement of the EVO 3D on Sprint, and all I can say so far is “WOW!” Specs have been leaked for this amazing device, and they are intense. A dual core 1.2GHz processor will be powering this beast of a phone, and as the name says, it will have a 3D display. With a 3D display, it would be nice to have dual cameras for shooting and recording in 3D. They added two 5MP cameras on the back, recording in full 1080p HD in 2D and 720p HD in 3D, so that is amazing. We will be here tomorrow breaking the... -
Woah! AT&T Purchases T-Mobile USA from Deutsche Telekom
Posted on March 20, 2011 | View CommentsDespite the fact I follow technology news quite vigorously, I did not see this coming at all. AT&T has announced today that they will be purchasing the US’s secondary GSM carrier from Deutsche-Telekom (based in Europe). The companies say it will take about 12 months for the entire thing to go through, if it even does at all. There are quite the number of regulatory hurdles they have to go over. When it’s all said and done though, goodbye T-Mobile USA, it will just be AT&T. Only one GSM carrier for the entire country. Win-win situation? Over-all, it will cost $39 billion (cash and stock). Because the networks are both... -

Using Tether? AT&T Wants you to Stop or Pay Up.
Posted on March 19, 2011 | View CommentsYou may not use Myfi, but rather one of the other jailbreak tools that allow you to tether for free, but nonetheless, AT&T is essentially forcing you to stop. How exactly they know is beyond our comprehension, but they seem to be targeting the right users, ones with the software installed. If you are one of the lucky, or rather unlucky peers who do use free tethering, AT&T is going to force you to stop by making you pay for the service. They will automatically add a tethering plan onto your current plan at $45 dollars a month, a DataPro 4GB. If you are a grandfather user like myself and... -
Own an N97? Update it on Your Mac.
Posted on March 17, 2011 | View CommentsOwn an N97? We know how you feel. You were sort of left in the dust. Apple, HTC, Motorola, Samsung, all releasing new phones with Android, iOS, WP7 and the sorts installed. But here you are, all left alone. Nokia moves on to Windows Phone 7 and you really start to feel bad. Fear, fear no longer! Nokia has finally released their “Nokia Software Updater” to update your N97, to a current version of course. So, do not wait, do not hesitate! Click the source below to get to the download page. Note, it’s still in beta form, but I’ve used beta all my life and really I doubt anything... -
March 17: Thunderbolt Day! Who’s Getting One?
Posted on March 16, 2011 | View CommentsIts about time that Verizon gets this phone out the door. But is it too late? For me it is, then phone has been delayed so many times, I’ve lost most of my faith and interest in the phone. While it is the first 4G LTE phone on a major carrier, its dead beautiful, and is an total elitists phone, its just not going to be sliding into my pocket any time soon. Here’s why. First, My contract won’t be up until August, so here’s to hoping thats when the Tegra (more on that coming soon) launches. Second, the phone has been delayed way to many times, I don’t even... -
Motorola XOOM: WiFi Only Confirmed, March 27 at $599.
Posted on March 16, 2011 | View CommentsIts about time. After tracking rumors that changed every hour, for weeks on end. We decided to wait for some real information regarding the Motorola XOOM, and now we have it. Motorola is confirming the XOOM WiFi only version for a March 27 release. What’s nice is, we finally know the price of the 3G-less tablet, a nice $599. Its nice to see Motorla make this cut in price, this way it might stand a chance against iPad 2… Wait, that’s already out, and I already own one. I’m glad for you Moto, that you managed to get this out the door, but you should have released it five or...
