If you ordered a Dell Venue Pro, their is a strong chance that you will not see your device until early “2011″. It appears that Dell is having both hardware and software problems and manufacturing is not going so swell either. This is kind of sad because this phone look very promising, of all the Windows Phone 7 devices, this is the one I would pick. A rep form the Dell community forums is saying that some devices may still ship on the 18th as planned, but you may or may not need another hardware swap to fix the problems with the device. These problems include Wifi not working and other software glitches. People who have ordered a device are still free to cancel and pick up a handset when they go full retail around January 6, 2011. Dell has a blog post on this, but what you read above is basically the short form of that post. We are keeping in contact with Dell and will let you know when more information is available. This $99 beauty will ship, someday.
