We had been wondering if Google and the industry had forgotten about Chrome OS for a while now. However it appears that Google could have a self branded smart-book launching at the end of this month running Chrome OS, the launch is rumored to be Nexus One style and Google is only expected to sell 60,000 or so devices. Later in the year Acer, HP, and possibly ASUS are planning to be selling Chrome devices, or as we prefer ChromeBooks. Google’s device will be ARM based and that is about all we know or now, no screen size or other leaks. At least we now have an OS that should be better fitted for carriers tethered tablets. We might be starting a segment for Google Chrome so stay tuned for that. So, what are your thoughts on Chrome. We are looking for more information now and hope to see Google make an announcement any day now.
