Tablets: Windows 7 CTL 2goPad ships at $499. [Video]

Want a nice, portable, and productive tablet? Yes? Well then we have the one for you. It looks like CTL is finally shipping their 10 inch Windows 7 slate called the 2goPad SL10. Compare this to some of the other tablets running Windows that we have seen over the past few months and it might just look like your new best friend. Lets run over some basic specs real quick here. The 2goPad is a 10 inch, Intel Atom N450 powered slate computer (tablet) running Windows 7 Home Premium. Storing all of your precious files and media is a (relatively) massive 250GB hard drive. That is both a plus and a minus, sure you can blow us iPad owners out of the water with storage and productivity but a HDD uses more power and breaks easier then SSD, either way this thing is still a welcome sight. Something else the iPad can’t do is video chat, the 2goPad has you covered with a VGA resolution webcam and interfacing with the tablet is done with a very responsive capacitive (but slightly too glossy) touch screen. You can start rocking out with your new slate for $499 but after October 20th the price becomes $599 USD. CTL has also included some software called QuickBits which allows for easier navigation buy using large (low resolution) buttons for shortcuts. At last we finally have a decent new tablet on the market. Let us know what you think of the 2goPad and if you are considering purchasing one.
