WebOS Confirmed For HP Slate Tablets ‘early 2011′

Well because we had never seen this one coming. With HP’s purchase of Palm, and the announcement that HP has no intention of getting into the phone market, that meant only one thing. A WebOS tablet. In the past we had heard that HP’s Todd Bradley secretly told HP employee’s that a WebOS tablet would arrive in Q1 2011. Now Todd has gone on record in the company’s Q3 2010 earnings call. “You’ll see us with a Microsoft product out in the near future and a webOS-based product in early 2011.” This was in reply to a question directly announcing that the palm pad was or will be due to the purchase of Palm. We will have more news as this story develops. Oh and yes, we still wish that consumers were getting the full Windows version of this tablet, as we believe they will essentially the same at least in design.
